Splitting a PDF vs extracting pages: which one do you need?
Splitting a PDF can mean two different things: turning every page into its own file, or extracting one useful range from a longer document.
Use a page range for one section
If you only need pages 4 to 8 from a document, extract that range into one new PDF. It keeps the useful section together and avoids sending unnecessary pages.
Split every page for separate files
Use the every-page option when each page needs to be uploaded, renamed or sent separately. This is common for scanned receipts, forms or batches of one-page documents.
Check page numbers before exporting
PDF viewers count from page 1, but printed documents sometimes have covers, roman numerals or unnumbered pages. Preview the page you want before relying on the printed page number.
